Get your business website reviewed in the blogosphere
By : praval
It is very important to understand the true potential of your business website and there is not a better place today than the blogosphere to get reviews.
So what is a blogosphere? Just incase you're unaware of;
Blogosphere is a collective term encompassing all blogs and their interconnections. It is the perception that blogs exist together as a connected community (or as a collection of connected communities) or as a social network.
The vital considerations to get your business reviewed in the blogosphere are;
- The basic thing that most people forget is to get a well designed website which is worth being written about by bloggers.
- Secondly, content of your website shall be good enough to tempt a blogger write about your business, services and profile in the blogosphere.
- Proper hyper linking of a comment on another blog is good way to attract traffic. The key consideration here is the fact that the hyperlink should match with the basic theme of your business.In other words, there should be a proper fit between a hyperlink, a comment and a blog on which it is being published.
- Networking in the right groups is the key to the successful review of a business website in the blogosphere. Joining of business groups online will further help the networking process. For instance, get a Linkedin profle.
- Knowledge about one’s own business and the niche of the blog would further motivate the blogger to review your site to attract readers for the blog post. For example, the owner of a website which is into financial services would not add much value when reviewed at a blog which is a generic on Open Source. The relevance to the basic context of a blog should always be focused on. Of course, getting a link back does some good to the search engine bots, but that is not our prime concern here.
- It is mainly the online persuasion skills of the website owner which matters. There are mixed opinions whether one should offer money or not to the blogger, but personally speaking, it is not the money but the mutual advantages you reap out of it that matters the most, both to the entrepreneur and the pro blogger.
- Follow a ‘give and take’ policy. It is indeed significant to mention the blogger in some links on your website to actually motivate him to write about your business on his blog.
- Search for bloggers on sites such as LinkedIn, Technorati, Digg, etc. and write to them about your business interests and motives out of a possible partnership. The pitch should be competent enough to convince the blogger into the ultimate motive i.e. getting your business site reviewed on their blog.
- Never have unethical motives behind such an act. It is always easy to earn a good word of mouth than rectifying a bad image.
- Involve and stress as much as possible on viral marketing techniques.
These were a few To Do's to mark a good online presence, which is no matter a plus for all businesses, irrespective of their relevance with Information Technology sector.
